4 Walt Disney World Splurges

Main Street Disney World

Welcome to Main Street U.S.A.

It’s not easy planning the most magical trip and making all of the memories without having a few splurges along the way. The key to planning a spectacular trip is to prioritize where to spend and where to save. As your travel agent, I will assist you in maximizing every dollar spent and getting the most magic out of your Walt Disney World vacation.

✨ Booking a Deluxe resort, especially one that is close to one of the Disney Parks is money well spent and will pay dividends during your trip when you think of time saved using Disney transportation, which in many cases the Deluxe resorts have more convenient transportation options compared to many of the moderate or value resorts. Whether you’re taking an adults-only trip or a trip with your kids, being in a deluxe resort will also give you that much needed extra space. We really love Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge - in fact, we got engaged there, so it holds a very special place in our hearts. There’s nothing quite like walking out on your balcony in the morning to see giraffes and other wildlife in view.

✨ Park hopper tickets offer so much flexibility – especially when you’re still on nap schedules with littles. There is peace of mind that comes with being able to visit one park in the morning and another park in the evening, while ensuring your kiddos get their midday naps in at the resort. I love being able to start at one Disney park, and end the day at another. Our trip coming up with our one year old includes 4 park hopper days, so we can essentially rope drop every park once and enjoy the nighttime shows at Hollywood Studios, Magic Kingdom and Epcot, without having to stay at each park the entire day. We really enjoying going to Animal Kingdom in the morning, but we usually do everything we want in that park by about 1pm, so we’re looking forward to going back to our hotel for a few hours to nap and relax before scooting over to Hollywood Studios for Fantasmic or Magic Kingdom’s night time firework show.

✨ Disney Resort Days are always a good idea. There comes a point during our trips that my body begins failing me and the only fix is taking a “resort day”. Disney involves so much walking and can be quite exhausting, which can be especially hard when traveling with kids. Everyone will be grateful to have a day to relax and enjoy all of the amenities your resort has to offer. We’ve had amazing resort days spending time at the pool, taking much needed naps, and even hitting up the arcades. And not that it’s fun, but sometimes it’s necessary to do a load of laundry during our resort days, too. Just make sure you pack a collapsible laundry basket like the one linked here.

Disney Resort Days are always a good idea.

✨ Character and Disney Princess Dining is worth every single penny, especially with little ones. We have our favorite character dining experiences and sometimes looking back on past trips, it’s the one thing I remember most about that vacation. Dining experiences range in price depending on time of day, so be sure to do your research to determine which option works best for you. We tote around a water bottle  and a paint pen so we can collect character’s signatures as we meet them throughout the park and at dining. Some people love the autograph books, too. It’s just harder for us to keep up with them. Another good reminder about character dining is that if you want to snag a reservation, you must book Disney table service dining 60 days in advance at 6am EST. As your travel agent, I take that off your plate so you can sleep in and get your worry-free reservation.
