Pop Century: Why We Love This Value Resort

Pop Century Resort

Pop Century

If you’re looking for a budget-friendly resort option on Disney property, Pop Century is a great find! There are so many perks to staying at Disney’s Pop Century resort, including that it’s super affordable, has Skyliner access and the theming is pretty cool, too.

The resort takes you through the decades, with each section of the resort representing a different era. The unique theming represents each decade from the 50s to the 90s. When we went, we stayed in the 50’s area, which was still close to the main lobby (also known as Classic Hall), the Hippy Dippy Pool and the Petals Pool Bar. I really enjoy leisurely walking through Pop Century to see all of the huge figures and taking pictures. There are three pools at Pop Century – the largest being the Hippy Dippy Pool in the 60s section, and two smaller pools that are situated in the 50s section and the 80s/90s section.

This value resort is great for smaller families, families with littles, and it’s even a great option for couples! We booked a quick (adults-only) 4-day trip and we quickly discovered that Pop Century had all of the amenities we needed for our 3-park day stay.

With Skyliner access, we easily rope-dropped Epcot and Hollywood Studios during two of our mornings and then used Disney bus transportation for the Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party at Magic Kingdom on our third day. My favorite part of the Skyliner is stopping by Disney’s Riviera Resort and getting coffee and an almond croissant from Le Petit Cafe. Morning coffee is my jam, especially with a one year old, and it’s even more beautiful taking the Skyliner in the morning watching the sunrise while overlooking Hourglass Lake.
