There’s a few things that are a necessity for your trip to Walt Disney World and the My Disney Experience App is one of them. It’s a planning tool at your fingertips that will make your days at Disney drastically easier and will help you take control of your plans each day. Using the My Disney Experience (MDE) app,  you can book dining reservations, make Genie+ selections, access the virtual queue for the most popular rides, view park hours, check wait times for attractions, access Disney PhotoPass and tons more.

What I really love about the app is that you can use it on your smartphone, computer or tablet and it’s easy for us to use with our family so that everyone can view all of the details of our trip. Our kids are at the ages where they want to have all of the information so they can plan their days out, too and we really enjoy having the app so everyone is connected and in-the-know. If everyone in your party is connected to My Disney Experience, you’ll be able to make the vacation plans for them – which was especially helpful when we traveled to Walt Disney World with my Mom and brother. They wanted a seamless, stress-free day at Disney and we were able to give them just that by accessing their plans via MDE and ensuring they had dining booked, lighting lanes for the most popular rides, and their accounts stayed connected to mine for the entirety of their trip. If your party is all connected via your account, the vacation plans will be shared amongst the group and everyone is locked into the plans you build out.

We use the MDE app to connect and customize our MagicBands, which is a wearable device that you can use as your resort hotel key, theme park ticket, lightning lane selections in Genie+, and you can also purchase merchandise or mobile order food at select locations. These are super convenient to have on your person at all times throughout the duration of your trip. We usually wear ours from the moment we arrive at the hotel until we check-out on our last day. We charge everything to our bands and don’t have to worry about bringing wallets or purses to the parks which is amazing and gives us so much peace of mind - one less thing to keep up with everyday.
